Augustine is committed against racism, hate, and discrimination and he is an enthusiast of good governance, inclusiveness, and accountability.
He has a record of an outstanding journalism and broadcasting practice spanning over 30 years, and civil society affiliation over the same period.
He co-founded Media Rights Agenda (MRA) a group dedicated to press freedom in Nigeria and founded the Progressive Impact Organization for Community Development, PRIMORG, a civil society organization devoted to promoting good governance, accountability, and participation.
He holds a Master’s Degree in International and Strategic Studies from Ambrose Ali University, and a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, both in Nigeria.
He is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators.
During his active service as a correspondent, editor, and media manager, he attended several professional pieces of training around the world including at the BBC London, Deutsche Welle radio, Cologne, Germany, and FRCN Training School, Lagos.
He also attended several local and international courses including an investigative journalism course at the City University of London.
His early encounter with civil rights cases and civil society activists on the judiciary beat shaped his later years of media activism and in his good governance campaigns as a civil society activist.
During his long stretch of journalism practice, Augustine was involved in the civil rights movement in Nigeria. He was a member of the Civil Liberties Organization CLO and joined as a founding Programs Manager of the Constitutional Rights Project, CRP.
Augustine has been a Canadian resident since 2017, in Regina, Saskatchewan the provincial base of PRIMORG Foundation.
Augustine is extensively travelled and has a vast network of contacts cutting across journalism and civil society.
Adaobi is a strong voice against corruption and accountability in Nigeria on radio and social media. She is actively involved in programs and activities promoting good governance, integrity, and citizens’ participation. She had her first degree in Sociology from the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Anambra State, Nigeria. She holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and she is currently running her Ph.D., also in Sociology in the same university. Adaobi has a certificate in Citizen Led Accountability: Strategies and Tools from Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals. Adaobi has had some experience in the banking sector where she developed skills in sales and management. She developed her initial skills in the civil society space at the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth, and Advancement (YIAGA) as an intern. She is passionate about enshrining the tenets of good governance in the democratic space. She deploys the media in her advocacy. She is currently a Board member of the progressive Impact Organization for Community development, PRIMORG, and serves as the organization’s Program Manager in Nigeria.
Paul has over 25 years of experience in social advocacy with various works and projects on fighting injustice, racial discrimination, and promoting black empowerment as well as social justice. This advocacy has taken him to many countries in Africa, Europe, Scandinavians, North America, and Canada where he has been residing for more than 10 years now. Some of his works in this regard have been published. He had his education at the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria, and the University of the Free State, South Africa with various degrees in Philosophy, Political Science, and International Relations. He is a widely travelled and accomplished social advocator and researcher. He has many years of experience as a University Professor both in Africa and Canada. He is also a Mediation and dispute Resolution practitioner, an active member of Conflict Resolution Saskatchewan. He has sound knowledge and experience in running a non-profit organization having served and still serving on the board of many non-profit and charitable organizations. He is greatly passionate about fighting the injustice of all forms especially injustice arising from race, ethnic group, and skin colour. He is a consummate go-getter.
